Cancer Update #4: Post-op “Hello!”

Please note, this language was adapted from an email, so please pardon if there are any lingering email references.

Greetings from my recovery hospital bed! I won't even say "room" because it’s more like a private bay with a curtain. I’m comfy though and have no complaints! Slated to be released tomorrow if all looks good with my incision and I don't show any signs of unexpected swelling or bleeding. You know, usually good things to look out for.

Thanks for all of your well wishes and support! It means so much to all of us. It's time to rest now -- my Mom and Ryan are hanging out today, and my Mom planned to stay overnight if there's a chair with even a smidgeon of padding, though it seems we just have regular office chairs. Not conducive to sleeping, whereas I have the ultimate in reclining comfort.

Happy Valentine's Day! Squeeze your loved ones! Even if it's a pet or a house plant, skip the cactus.

If you've not been receiving my updates thus far, stay tuned for a post-op recap/update that will include answers to questions you didn't even know you had (everyone else knows how long the FAQ and background info sections were, haha!). Let's keep it short and sweet.
